Workshop Description
Malocclusion rates in children are extremely high and they are significant. Most malocclusions we identify in children are the result of the underdevelopment of the maxilla and mandible. This underdevelopment has an effect on the ability of a child to breathe through their nose. Ultimately, the changes in breathing have an effect on the quality of sleep.  The result is children with sleep disordered breathing and various symptoms that come with it. The dental team is uniquely positioned to recognize and help these children early with a variety of techniques. This program is a comprehensive, interactive and hands on training for the entire team so that all in attendance can incorporate Myofunctional appliance therapy techniques in a competent, comfortable and effective manner.
